ADHD evaluation for adults
For adults who want to know whether ADHD helps explain lifelong trouble with attention, time and follow-through.

Who it is for
Adults, 18 and older, who have struggled with focus, organization or time since school, or who were told as a child that they would grow out of it. You do not need a letter from anyone to ask.

What the visits look like
A 60-minute interview, then a testing day of about four hours with breaks, then a 60-minute feedback visit. In between, I score and write. You can see the dates at the interview.

How it is done
A structured clinical interview, standardized questionnaires from you and, with your permission, from someone who knows you, and timed tasks of attention, memory and reasoning. I compare what I find with the criteria in the DSM-5-TR, the manual psychologists use.

What it is not
It is not therapy, a treatment plan or a prescription. The report can say you meet the criteria, that you do not, or that something else fits better. Either answer is a finding, not a failure.

How long it takes
From the interview to the feedback visit it usually takes six to eight weeks, mostly scoring and writing. I do not rush the report to fit a deadline.

How it is paid
One package fee covers every visit and the report. You get it in writing before the interview.

Three questions about this evaluation
Can I use an HSA or FSA card?
Usually, yes. Your plan administrator has the final say, and I can give you an itemized receipt for them.
Do you prescribe medication?
No. If the report points toward a conversation about medication, your own doctor or a psychiatrist is the person to have it with. With your written consent I send them a copy.
Can I use the report for work or school?
You own the report, and you decide who gets a copy. Whether an employer or school accepts it is up to them. Tell me at the interview what you may need it for, so it covers it.
